Robotics is the science and technology of ROBOTS, their design, manufacture, and application. Robotics requires a working knowledge of electronics, mechanics and software, and is usually accompanied by a large working knowledge of many subjects. A person working in the field is a robocist.
A robot is a mechanical or virtual, artificial agent. It is usually an electromechanical system, which, by its appearance or movements, conveys a sense that it has intent or agency of its own. The word robot can refer to both physical robots and virtual software agents, but the latter are usually referred to as bots to differentiate.

- Robotics education is introduced in DAV PUSHPANJALI ENCLAVE in the academic year(2007-2008). Prior to that, many students and teachers have attended the ROBOTICS workshops outside the school. The school finds that the Robotics education is essential to inculcate a skill to design interesting, movable and animated electronics projects. It harbors creativity, encourages students to think, discuss among each other and build innovative designs to solve the problems. More than 300 students are the part of the ROBOTICS CLUB. The students begin by learning that a whole computer can reside on a chip on a robot. It is a pleasure to see the kids when they download and see in action their first program on the robot. Their sense of achievement and excitement is unmatched.
